The darker version of our popular Monroe House Blend, The Dark Monroe is roasted slightly longer, resulting in a stronger, rich and smooth coffee with a flavour profile of caramel and dark chocolate. With precision control, our roasters take these beans to the brink stopping this side of burning the beans.  It is perfect for strong coffee lovers.

Our beans are ethically sourced, hand picked specialty Arabica beans from Brazil, El Salvador and India.

"Cattle are naturally inquisitive.  Their stares can be very intimidating.  If you know cattle, you know this is part of the course.  They look at humans and think, do you have something to offer me.  I have young bullocks who are here to feed on my plentiful grass and just be spoilt!  They grow well and when they have been with me for a year, I sell them on.  I have them for the teenage years essentially.  I so enjoy seeing them grow in confidence.  As I enter the field, if they are not waiting, they canter in their awkward way towards me, with the hope there is a tasty treat waiting for them in my hand.  This drawing captures that moment.  Head poised… ‘well, where is the food?!’" - Caroline Jackman
